Okay so I boycotted this for a little while.. I became very frustrated one day while trying to change my layout...I worked on it for almost an hour..to make a long boring story short not one  good came out of it!


On March 1, we had Mason's 4 month check up, shots included! I have a huge soft spot when it comes to shot day that I have made Mark  hold his hands each time.  I just can't bring myself to go through that awful pain with him!  This time around he did 100% better than last time, I think because the extra chunk helped. ;)  Oh and the weight I had for your 3 months is inaccurate because I did it at home. 


We discovered that you were 15.7 lbs (50-75%) and you were 26" long. (95%) !  You are a growing boy, you've grown so much that even some of your 6-9 outfits don't fit you anymore!!


Since the Dr. visit, we started introducing some fruits and a few veggies to you.  So far you are not a picky eater, you love everything!  We are holding off on the green veggies, and sticking to the lighter foods.  I would say that your favorites so far are bananas and applesauce!  You can't get enough.  We give you 1 fruit or veg a day, and some cereal at night with bottles in between.  This seems to satisfy you however we are still meeting up at 4, and 5 am sometimes!  Your naps usually consist of 2 or 3 "catnaps" where you sleep on average 20 minutes long.  However there are some days that you will sleep a 2 hour stretch, but that's usually when you are with Meme...


On the weekends you like to stay as busy as possible, meaning everywhere Mama goes, you demand to go to.  It makes for a day filled of exercise for me going up and down stairs, putting things away, etc. with you on hip!  I must say you are not the lightest little baby!!


Everyday I think you gain 5 lbs, I think it's time that your mother starts lifting weights and exercising more consistently!!!


Your favorite things include: one fist, 2 fists in mouth, smiling, standing up on our laps, taking in every minute you can, your father, making funny noises, bath time, being on the go - shopping, going for rides, and we can't forget your food!! You have started to put your hands out and lean into the person that wants to hold you..it's so cute. You are a very happy baby and a joy to have in our lives.  I love every minute with you! You make us smile every day, love you Bubb!  <3 your Mama




~4 months old~

3 months!

Mason you are growing like a weed. You are 15.5 lbs and 24 3/4" long!!! I can't believe how fast you are growing! We just had to retire your 3-6 pajamas :(  I think I am in denial of your growth because there are some outfits that I just knew wouldn't fit you, come to find out they did, before I could even get you in them!  Your first belly laugh was today!  We couldn't get enough of it! You have discovered your hands this month, and you are thrilled when you can get that thumb into your mouth, Daddy isn't a fan of that! You love to kick and swing your arms all day long. The sleeping is still a little erratic, you can sleep for 5-8 hours at a time, but if you wake up and realize that little belly isn't full then you still want that nightly feeding.  

We've loved every smiling, kicking, laughing, sleepless minute that have taken place the last 3 months.  I love seeing what each day will bring,  Love you Bubba Boy!

What if?

It was the week before I went back to work, and we desperately needed food in the house.  I thought I can't go there, no way I'll just have to wait until Mark gets home.  Then I thought, why can't I bring him there? It's only grocery shopping how hard can it be......but it was my first time with the baby and I was extremely terrifed. Why you ask? Well let's see..what If he wakes up in a screaming fit and demands to continue until I take him out. What if the cart tips over with him in it.  What if he has a "blow out" and it calls for an emergency change of diaper / outfit...so on and so on.. I don't know maybe these are not normal thoughts, and I over thought this outting a bit too much buttt I can tell you I've never been in and out of the grocery store as fast as this day.  My heart was racing the entire time,I was out of breath and I believe I even broke a sweat!  Mason was awesome and slept the entire time for Mama, yeah! 1st trip = success..let's see how long this streak lasts.   Maybe we'll do it again...in a few months? haha.

a bloggers nightmare!

Last week, while Meme was here babysitting she discovered that our lap top would not turn on and had a whirlwind of stripes all over the screen!!!! I guess I wasn't really that mad until I realized that my pictures, all of Mason's pictures are on there! OH NO ..please NO!  It is just the screen that is no longer so luckily we will be able to recover the pictures.  In the mean time my blogs will be picture-less.  I am using my mom's old lap top that has a fatal virus on it, so we shall see how much longer it has.

first day back: in review

Let's just say the first week back to work did not start out on a smooth note.  Okay like it's not hard enough to go back after a 12 week hiatus right? It was a cold and icy Monday morning, well I made sure to get to work a little earlier than usual so I had a chance to sit and take it all in.....as I stepped down from the truck, coffee in hand didn't I not even touch the running board OR the ground making my bottom hit the icy ground first.. ok OUCH!!!  was my first reaction, second> is this REALLY happening? and third> whose morning did I just make with that performance.  I then contemplated if it was a sign from the Gods above telling me that I don't need to work and to get back at that truck and drive FaR away!  Ugh, what a great start. While all of those thoughts were going through my head I still sat there on the freezing ground too afraid to move bc I was convinced my tailbone was broken.  Butttt thanks to that extra cushioning that I am sporting these days I was able to get up break free.

The rest of the day was a blur, but I survived.

snow daze

Today was the first day that I braved bringing Mason outside for a little while.  I figured both of us could use a little fresh air!  He seemed to like it, I think it was refreshing for him!  Marks friends Johnny and Bobby were over trying out Johnny's new snow mobile, they actually held him..for the first time!

The most dreadful day is coming upon us fast!  After 3 quick months, it's that time again..back to reality..back to work...ohh I never thought this day would actually come.  I remember thinking before I had Mason three months off seems like an incredibly long time, what will we do?!  Not the case at all.  

Nov-Dec-Jan why did you have to go by so quickly? It was a fast three months, but boy were they good ones!  Let's hope Monday takes it's time getting here.
