11 months just ONE more month

wow Mason 11 months.  That means only 30 days until you have been with us for ONE whole year. O-M-G.

*OMG  your favorite song of the year by Usher.

-You are one bubbly, on-the-go, into e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g most curious little boy I know.  The one thing I still can't understand is how is it that your ever moving body only requires 6-8 hours of sleep at night?  Well I shouldn't complain because you have come alonggg way since birth. So I'll take it ;)  

This month, you have soaked up so much!! Ball, Bottle, Nose, Belly, Mama, Meme, Daddy, etc...You are able to get to where you want and whatever you want, and you are VERY persistent about it. Your method of movement is your army crawl and walker. Most of the time you're traveling to an unsafe destination or trying to get something that you shouldn't have so you spend quite a bit of time yelling at us.  You continue to love Diesel, Daddy, your walker, balls, and OUTSIDE.  I would have to say being outdoors is your favorite place to be... I cringe when I think of our upcoming season!! 

~you pulled yourself up at the beginning of the month 
~also your top 2 teeth appeared - which makes four!
~you will walk behind your walker (pushing it) gaining more confidence each day. (still scared though)

~you are starting to eat a variety of soft / semi chunky foods - picky when first introduced, but usually you'll try it the second time.. We found that if you are able to feed yourself you are happier about it, must taste better ;)
~formula / water and some juice throughout the day 
~size 4 diapers
~size 12-18 clothing

The worst habit we have so far is your bedtime routine...on some nights when you are over tired and refuse to close those eyes you will scream, and scream.  We have to come in and stand over your crib - you are content with our presence and that stops you from crying.  However, you have to be fast asleep before we leave - sometimes I fall asleep on the floor with my hand in yours until I know you're fast asleep.  Daddy has had to crawl out several times because once we hit that crack in the floor - awake you will be! 

As you can see I could write all night long, but I'll leave you with this:

9/10 months

Okay seeing as though you will be turning 10 months in a few days, I figured it was a good time to write up your 9 month blog.

Let's see during the 9th month of your life you were blessed with your cousins presence, for the WHOLE month.  You loved it, and they loved it.  especially Marney, she took the best care of you and helped Meme out the best she knew how.  You followed them around in your walker, and watched their every move.  Boy we will miss them.  Also you had a great time with Aunts Mandi, Kendra and Uncle John - they watched and played with you too.  

*Also during the ninth month you started eating chunkier food - stage 3! You are growing everyday and we can't keep up with your food intake!

*At your appt you weighed 21.5 #.  The RN didn't measure you, I meant to when I got home, but do you think I remembered that?

*Chances are by next month you will be standing on your own, you can't wait.  You want everything  that moves, or any toy that Diesel has.   

*I have a feeling next month, we are going to be making huge developments!! See you in a few days blogspot! (don't hold your breath)

8 months

Wow - 8 months - Really??

When did you get so big??  You are beginning to turn into our very own miniature sized line backer Mason.  You are about 21 lbs and you are incredibly long.  You are wearing 12-24 months clothes & size 4 diapers.  This past month was a tough one for us, especially your daddy.  Your dear great-grandfather passed away.  You were able to meet almost all of your famly..Everyone just loves you!!!

On a lighter note here are some highlights that took place this month for you:

~You can high five like it's nobody's business

*Eating is your favorite hobby

-Smiling and laughing is your second

~Rolling over is something you choose NOT to do.  You are perfectly capable of doing it but your back is just such a better place to be.

*You can bounce / jump in your bouncy seat til the cows come home

-You love being on the go go go and being around people

~You still light up the most when you see your daddy (sigh) haha

*Duchy and Diesel are your favorite pals - (Diesel more so)

-Two teeth have made their appearance - (and many rough nights)

~You like to assist during feeding time - so most times you get your own spoon the entire time!

*You have a little bit of an attitude when things don't go your way (hope this is just a stage) lol!

you're loved more than you'll ever know!!!

Mason - you were baptized on April 11, 2010.  Your fairy godparents are Aunt Mandi , and Mark's best friend Uncle Pete.



You were loved by so many on that day - relatives came from near and far!!! Love you little man!!

I just had to do it - you wore this beautiful gown - people that also wore this were :  Meme - Great Uncle Mike, Great Uncle Tom, Uncle John, Aunt Mandi and myself.  Now do you see why? 

7 month recap ..a few days late

jees i've come to conclusion that i really am the worst blogger!! 

i guess i'm still making your monthly update so i haven't totally lost the blog scene yet.

okayy, well we had a surprise visit  a week ago, which happened to fall around your 7 month mark.  You weigh 19.5 and you're 28" long. Your weight is pretty solid, and i would say your equiv to an extra (heavy) sack of potatoes. my back could tell you about that!  we had to make an appearance at the Dr. because you had your first ear infection.  now that is by far the worst experience as a mama that i've had to go through with you..you were so sad, and in such pain!  thankfully we got you under control with some antiobiotics.

the dr. said it could be correlated to your teething, which i thought the same - however those little dickens are yet to pop through!!!

*you wear size 12 clothing in two piece outfits and size 12-18 in one piece. 

~you are in size 3 diapers however i think you will be moving on to 4's soon.

**my back feels as though it's been through a war 

~you are a bit of a nosey josey - you don't like to miss a thing.  your bed time is between 8-10 and you are always up at 5:30 no matter what time you crash.

*it's safe to say that sleep is your least favorite activity (next to tummy time)

~you find that tummy time is a waste of your time when you could be spending it by sitting up stuffing various toys into your mouth.
*since last month aunt mandi taught you peek-a-boo with your blanket.you. just. love. that.
~you're getting the jist of high fiving
*we've experimented a few times with water fun, and i see a future filled with it!! (pictures to come)

lastly, you love to be loved...you find it very rude when people walk by you and don't say anything - you will coo at them until you get their attention!

feetsie pajamas

I want to dedicate a whole blog to feetsie pajamas..why you ask? because I. LOVE. THEM.  there is not anything cuter in the world then feetsie jammies, I will try to fit you in these until they no longer make them in your length..I hope that at 13 I can still find some that fit you :)  (Kidding!)

seeing as though my other computer broke, i am missing a lot of new born - 3 months, and that upsets me terribly. here are a few of my favs!

you are 6 months old!

my oh my how time flies!

for some reason on this date, you started the best trend of... SLEEPING!!! since the 26th, you've gone to bed at 7-8 pm and wake up at 6-6:30. YES! 

your 6 month check up is coming up so i'm unsure of your weight..but i do know one thing. you are heavy. my back now feels like it is 87 years old.  you are one solid boy!!

monthly review

-
-you sit up like a champ!-you're wearing sizes 6-9 and 12 clothes --pushing more towards the 12's though!

-you love all foods (except for the meats, but i can' t blame you on that one)

-mr. inquisitive is your name this month...you study EVERYTHiNG.

-hands, toes, and every other object that is near you go into your mouth all day

-smiling is something you have perfected

-eating is something you could do all day long

-rolling over is something you couldn't be bothered with - tummy time is the worst time of day for you!

-you see diesel run and you want to do the same

milestones!!

Yesterday 4-20-10 was a big day for you!   Was it because you wanted to impress your aunt Mandi?  I THINK SO!


Mason sat up for atleast 5 minutes, and then when he got tired he held onto the bar where the hanging things are on. WOOHOO.  He's becoming more solid and so strong!

Also we went out to dinner with Meme and aunt Mandi, you got to sit alll by yourself in the wooden highchair!!

What a big boy!

1st Easter!

Happy first Easter Mason John!!!

dog loves baby. baby loves dog.

I have been meaning to dedicate a page to your dogs Duchy and Diesel.  Duchy accepts you, and will look at you while you cry, but Diesel  he loves you, and you love him. for now. We will see how this relationship is next year....

The reason why I am dedicating a post to your dogs is becauseee..Diesel is obsessed with you. He makes it sooo hard for me to take a picture of you and just you. I can't tell you how many times I have had to delete pictures because there is an unnecessary ear, leg, or tail in the way.. , here are a few pictures to show what I mean....

as far as diesel is concerned you are friends whether you like it or not!

look, he even tried to get you to play with him!                  

anyways..you get my drift. I hope you two continue to be buddies because then you can throw that damn ball! 

Before you were born we worried about how Diesel would be with you --now our only worry is making sure he doesn't drown you with his kisses..

5 month review

5 months have gone by, already???

YAY You did it! You ROLLED OVER!

March 5th you accidentally rolled over--okay so you scared yourself just a little but hey we'll take it!!

since then you have rolled over two times.  let's see if we can break our record next month!

holy canoli, everyone is right time does fly. well let's review what's new !  we had a surprise 5 month visit to the dr. because you caught the saddest / most awful sounding cough i've ever heard. however on the plus side you love it at the doctor's.  i think all we need to do is get you some of that paper and you could lay and play on it all day! 

 the doctor determined that you had a cold and in time it shall pass..he didn't say that during that time is the saddest, hardest thing to watch you go through!!! you're now finally starting to feel better and you're back to your bubbly self.thank goodness!

you weigh 17.0 lbs and you're 27" long. that makes for one big  boy!!!

this month has been exciting for you/us!  you have discovered your dogs duchy and diesel. you just lovee diesel and will smile any time he comes around you.  one night you laughed for 5 minutes because he was laying next to us chewing on a bottle cap....he sure is our special doggie. 

we have tried various kinds of foods and you seem to like almost all of them..squash.bananas.applesauce.pears.prunes.sweet potatoes.carrots...you express your likes and dislikes very clearly to us...when there is something you don't like then you scream and scream at us until the roof almost blows off!! i'm not giving up yet, the peas.beans.WILL be back!! ;0 ha

-you love to be around people, especially your father, your face lights, your arms and legs squirm and you literally lose your breath when you see him!

-you've definitely discovered that voice of yours, you squabble and make funny noises at us all the time!

-if your  mouth was big enough then those fists would be in it all day long! you love to have every object meet your mouth the second you get ahold of it!

-we can still count the little hairs on your head (grow hair grow) we are dying to know what color you'll be!!

you are wearing:

~6-9 clothing, and some jammies you can't wear because your little toes curl right up! 

~size three diapers

~mainly knitted or fleece hats because we just can't fit that big bald head into any that are fitted --(blame that on your daddy).

in conclusion:

it's far too hard to write about everything you have learned,discovered, and made us laugh at this month.  this means that mama needs to become a better blogger--if only i could add more hours in the day! thanks for making our days and life so much brighter my precious little bubba boy!

Okay so I boycotted this for a little while.. I became very frustrated one day while trying to change my layout...I worked on it for almost an hour..to make a long boring story short not one  good came out of it!


On March 1, we had Mason's 4 month check up, shots included! I have a huge soft spot when it comes to shot day that I have made Mark  hold his hands each time.  I just can't bring myself to go through that awful pain with him!  This time around he did 100% better than last time, I think because the extra chunk helped. ;)  Oh and the weight I had for your 3 months is inaccurate because I did it at home. 


We discovered that you were 15.7 lbs (50-75%) and you were 26" long. (95%) !  You are a growing boy, you've grown so much that even some of your 6-9 outfits don't fit you anymore!!


Since the Dr. visit, we started introducing some fruits and a few veggies to you.  So far you are not a picky eater, you love everything!  We are holding off on the green veggies, and sticking to the lighter foods.  I would say that your favorites so far are bananas and applesauce!  You can't get enough.  We give you 1 fruit or veg a day, and some cereal at night with bottles in between.  This seems to satisfy you however we are still meeting up at 4, and 5 am sometimes!  Your naps usually consist of 2 or 3 "catnaps" where you sleep on average 20 minutes long.  However there are some days that you will sleep a 2 hour stretch, but that's usually when you are with Meme...


On the weekends you like to stay as busy as possible, meaning everywhere Mama goes, you demand to go to.  It makes for a day filled of exercise for me going up and down stairs, putting things away, etc. with you on hip!  I must say you are not the lightest little baby!!


Everyday I think you gain 5 lbs, I think it's time that your mother starts lifting weights and exercising more consistently!!!


Your favorite things include: one fist, 2 fists in mouth, smiling, standing up on our laps, taking in every minute you can, your father, making funny noises, bath time, being on the go - shopping, going for rides, and we can't forget your food!! You have started to put your hands out and lean into the person that wants to hold you..it's so cute. You are a very happy baby and a joy to have in our lives.  I love every minute with you! You make us smile every day, love you Bubb!  <3 your Mama
